Utter Capitulation Leaves Humiliated Hilderincs With No Place To Hide

Posted on March 19, 2023 at 11:50 AM

To say it was a bad weekend for Hilderinc FC would be a gross understatement, and would do significant disservice to the word itself, as the Blacks suffered their worst defeat in their 23 year history after a shambolic outing against Exiles FC.

Playing their second Equatorial Football League Saturday QD1 in just over 24 hours after their dreadful trip to GESS for a 1pm kickoff, the Hilderincs’ self-mutilation at the hands of the same opponent, against whom they had th...

Hilderincs Progress Continues With Gritty Display

Having been at the wrong end of 1-6, 5-2 defeats against Hibernian Athletics, though the latter just three weeks ago had a different second half narrative to the actual scoreline, Hilderinc FC’s recent development gathered momentum with yet another creditable outing, though a fair result just about eluded them in a tight contest.

Key to the upward impetus has been surely the consistent matchday squad, which has included both returning experienced players and youthful i...

Defiant Hilderincs Show Teeth In Proper Display

Having been ruthlessly plagued by injuries to key players, decimated by never-ending commitment induced unavailablities, and gross avalanche of irredeemable self-induced errors, the Hilderincs’ debut season in the Equatorial Football League has been nothing but a series of unfortunate events, one that would have made Lemony Snicket lament in melancholic sympathy.

Long-sufferingly, having endured heavy beatings, some not too distance experiences, the Blacks have been s...

Enigmatic Hilderincs Flop Before Second Half Revival

Having gone through different phases in their debut season in the Equatorial Football League, Hilderinc FC maintained their Jackal and Hyde form in a story of two halves against Hibernian Athletics in the Muddy Murphy’s derby.

If the earlier part of the campaign was getting unhinged in 20min periods before and half the break, the Blacks have form an unappealing habit of beginning games in utter sluggishness in recent weeks, and it was an equally or is not an appalling ...

At Last! The Hilderincs Do It...But...

It has felt like an eternity for the Hilderincs, both on Saturday and Sunday collectively, since they had anything tangible to show for their endeavours, which have been repeatedly hamstrung by debilitating injury crisis to key players, and recurrent mass unavailability due to all sorts of reasons, and while not the worst like in their history, considering an eight month winless run in 2019/2020 for similar arguments, the path has been especially hard bearing in mind the hard work put in hour...

Adding to a hard fought 0-0 draw in August, the reverse trip away to the Dutch in October 2022 was a credible endeavour, despite the outcome, with the Blacks pushing beyond the limited resources they had on the day, to put in a decent shift, one of their ...

Longsuffering Blacks Stoically Go Down, But Positives Aplenty

While the past situation with crippling numbers had abated with a healthy bench, unseen since August 2022, the state of affairs with injuries continued to impede the Hilderincs once again as four in the heart of the defence and midfield failed to complete the otherwise entertaining match against Singapore Vikings in the EFL Sunday League.

With Lim Yangshan, one half of the stalwarts in the makeshift centreback taking ill before kickoff, the Hilderincs had to call upon Hilde...
